Decreased Activity

Sun Jun 24, 2007, 9:12 PM
Rather spur-of-the-moment thing I which to announce. My DA activity - as some have already been aware of - has been reduced to a couple of hindrances:

1. I deliberately disabled my main PC to reduce computer usage, as it's becoming a thorn in my side and has been ever so addictive.

2. Job search

3. Trip to friend's wedding, which leave is today at 1:20 PM and I will be staying until approx. July 3.

Forgive me Cirlin for not providing a response to your latest message more promptly, despite my desire to do so. I will consider doing so upon my return under the condition that my memory allows such (which that I cannot trust on, unfortunately).

Hope things go well for everyone. Tah-tah, and God Bless.

One other announcement. I've realized that a particular artist friend of mine named Jahi is not saved, yet is very compassionate about Christianity. 'Twould be most blessed to pray on Jahi's behalf for opening her heart for salvation. Committed is Jahi, most undoubtedly, and how great it is to see that; but such devotion does not get one self a ticket into Heaven.

Thank you for the appetizing banquet for my eyes, it's only fitting to watch diligently for more. Though may I ask, supposing you ever read this, how you manage to get your colors so vibrant? No manner of my tweaking of exposure time, aperture, ISO etc. seems to result in conveying such vivid hues from natural scenery. I take it you use lens filters and/or post editing?
    :icontheolonius:
I shoot RAW and use a Circular Polarizer. Both of those really help with the colors. I also as a rule shoot very small apertures and low ISO's, which help with the deep colors. Hope that helps some :D

Most certainly did, especially the polarizer. I myself also love to use low-light conditions to express color better and give that sense of solitude, but never bothered with filters in general, let alone polarizers. Thank you for the tips, mate!

Hey there, I was wandering if you could take a look at some of my drawings. I could use some input on how to make them look better.

For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

To be honest, since I have no artistic talent, I couldn't really provide anything aside from a critique with a tenuous understanding of art. An example would be you seeing me say "you should make this grass brighter to fit the tone with the rest of picture" more than say "your musculature on that arm doesn't work well, try doing this, blah blah".

I'll still try and provide help, though you certainly would get more feedback from a true artist like ole Taz.

Whacha. Just read your responses on one of Tazi's journals...man was that invigorating. We need to talk about life, the universe, and everything sometime.

When God becomes the focus of your sight, it's difficult not to be a "big-picture" person about things. :)

I'd be glad to talk about anything, really. I'm always open for conversation. Since I have far too little of it nowadays I cherish whatever opportunities I get all-the-more.
    :icontxteclipse:
I'm pretty much open to talk about anything, as well. So let's leave our comfort zones and talk about nothing. Nothing, of course, being space. For starters...wormholes and other gravitational phenomena strike your fancy?
